Hollywood Welcomes Global Esports Tour

Top Hearthstone® players TrumpSC, Fr0zen, Alliestrasza, and Killinallday form teams, convene in the City of Angels to compete in first ever Global Esports Tour

Tune in across both the GEF and FACEIT YouTube and Twitch channels: From 10am PT on Monday and Tuesday, September 27 & 28, 2021, Grand Final at 4pm PT on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.

The Global Esports Federation and FACEIT, the world’s leading competitive online gaming platform and tournament organizer, are excited to reveal the full talent line-up and format for the first event on the Global Esports Tour (GET) in Los Angeles, the home of one of FACEIT’s headquarters. The tournament will take place on Monday and Tuesday, September 27 & 28, 2021 and will be played on Hearthstone® Classic Mode, in a new school vs. old school head-to-head competition.

Four teams consisting of North America’s finest players have been invited to compete in a best of seven, double elimination conquest format. Each team will be made up of three players. Teams will bring six decks, each from a unique class.

Joining the talent line-up and providing their expert commentary and analysis will be pro gamer and game designer turned broadcaster, Brian Kibler, strategy game expert Nathan ‘Admirable’ Zamora, and Cloud9 player Cong “StrifeCro” Shu.

The broadcast kicks off on Monday, September 27, 2021, at 10am PT, with the Grand Final taking place at 4pm PT on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.

The GET is the GEF’s Pro-Team tournament staged in key global cities throughout the year. GET 2021 offers a total prize pool of US$500,000. The tournament showcases skills and talent from different game genres from around the world. Starting with Hearthstone®, the most successful CCG esports created by Blizzard with LA as the first stop.

In October, the GET heads to Riyadh (October 24-26, 2021) with PUBG MOBILE, and on to Dubai (November 26-27, 2021) with CS:GO.

Earlier this month FACEIT was announced as the GEF’s Strategic Partner, Esports Services, and appointed as tournament organiser for the first GET.
