Historic audience launches the Global Esports Tour into a new era

More than 6 million fans witness the start of the 2024 season in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Brazil’s paiN Gaming brings home the GET Trophy at the first stage of the Global Esports Tour Season 4 in Rio de Janeiro

The Global Esports Tour concludes the first stage of Season 4 with an unprecedented live and online audience watching the Counter-Strike 2 action in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Eight world-class professional teams entered the stage at the legendary Maracanãzinho focused on conquering the battlefield and taking home the GET Trophy. After three days of intense competition, paiN Gaming defeated Imperial Esports to raise the trophy and celebrate with thousands of Brazilian fans in the stadium.

More than 6,000 people filled the Maracanãzinho with their passion and energy throughout the tournament. The raucous crowd fueled the four Brazilian teams to victories while also showing support for the great gameplay by the four international teams.

In addition to the live audience, more than 6.1 million people watched a combined 2.5 million hours of the tournament on YouTube and Twitch community streams across the globe. The record-setting audience showcases the appetite for elite esports competitions and sets the stage for the greatest season of the Global Esports Tour yet.
